Buying
Clothes You can Wear for All Seasons
Are you one of those women who
love to shop, but never have anything to wear?
Well, there are certain guidelines you can
follow to set up a functional and stylish
wardrobe.
The first thing you need to remember is: Do not
buy on impulse. For each $20 mistake you make by
purchasing something from a bargain basement,
that will be $20 less that you have to invest in
a long lasting, classic fashion wardrobe.
Clean out you closet and get rid of everything
that doesn't fit you or that you haven't worn
for a year or more. Put some items that are
"questionable" in a separate section of your
closet. Then a few weeks later, go back through
those items and get rid of the stuff that you
haven't worn or will not wear.
Take what is left of your wardrobe and arrange
the items by your favorite looks, colors, and
lifestyle pieces. In other words, coordinate
your wardrobe. It is best to pick three colors
that will match or coordinate with your clothes
and purchase only those three colors for your
apparel. (You can deviate between shades of
blue, green, etc.)
The next step is to determine a clothing budget.
Make a list of the items you most need or want.
For example you may need or want a solid color
blazer to go with wool pants and a white shirt.
This would be an excellent choice since these
items are considered "classics." Then set aside
a specified amount of time, perhaps an hour, to
shop for those items. If you are extremely busy,
you may want to consider shopping online.
