Cashmere
Sweaters are no Longer only for Winter Seasons
Cashmere has definitely
experience a booming resurgence in this new
millennium. Cashmere sweaters can be found in
beautiful jewel tone shades, pastels and neutral
colors. Summertime cashmeres abound in many
areas of the country where the beautiful sherbet
colors may be spotted on women of all ages. High
end stores in upscale areas such as Beverly
Hills, the Hamptons, Bal Harbour and other
affluent areas in middle America display
cashmere sweaters in various colorful hues. Many
stores also carry other cashmere items such as
tube tops, shrugs and even cashmere T-shirts.
Men can also be seen in and around the resort
areas of the U.S. wearing cashmere sweaters and
sporting them around their necks and waists.
These lavish cashmere sweaters are composed of
fibers that have been collected from the hair of
the underbellies of goats living in or near
Mongolia. This fine hair is then woven to form
the luxurious fibers known as cashmere.
These luxurious natural fiber sweaters can
withstand the 70 to 80 degree temperatures of
summer because, even though it is warm outside,
cashmere really doesn't feel that warm. Also,
any time you go inside, whether to work, shop,
dine at a restaurant, etc. the air conditioning
is usually on full blast and you may need a
sweater.
Cashmere can also provide you with vibrant
colors in your summer wardrobe. Many of us get
caught up in the same old summer outfit of white
pants and a navy blazer. Although this outfit is
classic, it is fun to incorporate color into an
otherwise "boring" wardrobe.
